Welcome to the Samsung forum on CNET! Samsung worked with CNET to create a forum where people can ask questions and talk about all Samsung products and get help with everything from HDTVs, Smart TVs, home theater components, phones, cameras to monitors and printers. This forum is staffed by Samsung employees, but as we have seen in the past, often the most helpful answers come from CNET forum members themselves so please don't consider this just a Q and A with Samsung. This is a CNET forum and Samsung is here to be part of the conversation. I have a Samsung LN40A550P34 40 inch television that we got for our bedroom for Christmas, last year. I am trying to see if there are any software or firmware upgrades for this model. When I look it up on Samsung's website, this model doesn't even come up! I've searched this forum, and see various info on the 550 series televisions, but not exactly the info I'm looking for. By the way, Mr. Samsung - it is MOST disappointing that Samsung does not provide support for Wiselink to Wiselink Pro, to its loyal customers who spent a pretty penny on their product less than a year ago. I understand the ability to play movies via Wiselink is only available on series 7 and up, but there has to be a way to provide the necessary software to do this, and it seems to me Samsung does not want to do that, because they'd rather you buy the newer series. Seeing as how i just bought this 5 series, it makes me feel like Samsung does not care about its existing customers, only bringining in new ones. So, when the time does come for us to replace our existing set, I would look for a company more accommadating of its existing customers. As a manager in the service industry, I know retention of your customer base is very important - why is Samsung not seeing that? Samsung Series 5 Tv ReviewsSteelshells, For the 2008 models, Wiselink and Wiselink Pro were separate features depending on model. One of the motivations of somebody purchasing one of the higher tier televisions was added functionality, and the option to play video last year was considered an upgrade. For the 2009 models, there are different features available between the different product tiers. For the same reason as last year, different functionality is available on different television sets. Iced karen marie moning. This allows our customers to have the freedom to choose between a television set that has all of the latest features, or a television set that has many features but costs less. Our customer base is very important to us, however when people pay extra money for extra features, I imagine I would receive similar, yet opposite complaints if we decided to upgrade features for free that people paid extra money for. Samsung Series 7 Tv ReviewAs far as helping existing customers, this forum does serve as an additional way to reach people, listen, and take views just like this into consideration, and I'll be happy to send your views to the appropriate department. In the meantime, many iPod have video capabilities to allows video to be transferred to the television through composite cable. That cable is available through Apple and is attached through the composite inputs on the television. I appreciate the diplomatic clarification.
